CHIVAS USA ACADEMY Training
The Chivas USA Academy is an affiliate of CHIVAS Florida. The training goals of the Academy have been specifically designed to focus on the four aspects of the game, Physical, Technical, Tactical, and Psychological training.
Participants will be taught the importance of proper warm-up and technical & tactical decision-making. Players will be taught how to read the field while playing and learn the thought process of thinking ahead to the second move, not their first. This process will increase their speed of play exponentially, creating a more creative and dynamic player on the field. Players will learn to play under pressure and in tight spaces, which will allow them to have a more vital awareness and make better use of a full-size field in a regular match.
The Chivas USA Academy will focus on training smaller groups of players so that a training session attended will primarily focus on the individual progress of that player in a more detailed environment. They will also provide team training so that the training of small groups can be integrated into the larger fields, training one section of the field at a time, then combining to create a full field experience.
The Chivas USA Academy will be directed by Coach Ademir dePaula, current Director of Coaching and former professional player and member of "Nacional Brazil." School trainers will include former national team players, former MLS, semi-professional players, and USSF/UEFA tenured licensed coaches and trainers with years of coaching and training experience.
Advantage Soccer School will implement semi-monthly mini-camps and a top-level summer camp which will include the following aspects of the game:
*Balance training
*Dribbling, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3
*Passing and possession
*Shooting
*Pressure training
*Small sided gameplay
*Goal Keeping
The Chivas USA Academy camps may include guest coaches and trainers from national teams and former professional players from many of the most sophisticated soccer countries, and current Chivas USA staff.
